I started blogging about 2 years ago. Consequently, this was right before I had my 3rd baby. Needless to say, taking care of 3 kids while also starting a new venture was a bit crazy. It took me more time than I anticipated to learn what I have and to be able to blog consistently.
Threw my slow start, I had to learn ways to save money and time. One of the best ways for me to do that was finding free pictures I could use for my blog graphics.
We all know the importance of visual aspects of our blogs. I wanted to be able to take all my own pictures, but the reality is that I couldn’t. Not only have I no experience with photography, I did not have the time to learn photography techniques and then learning how to edit pictures. These are 2 things on my list of things to learn. In the meantime, I needed to find pictures that I love.
Here is a list of my favorite go to places for stock pictures.
Every week creative market has free stuff available to everyone. Some weeks, that includes stock pictures. If you can’t find pictures you love for free, creative market has a large library of picture bundles you can buy. They have everything from pictures of plants, animals, and so on. Their prices are fair and the choices are endless.
If you are looking for pictures for a Christian blog or web page is the first place you should look. They have thousands of pictures that are perfect for the Christian market.
Not only can you use canva for graphic design, but you can also purchase images. Canva has a search function where you can find hundreds of options for graphics or pictures you may need for your final product. There are many free options, but if you have some money to spend, canva is a great place to look for what you need.
There are countless places to find pictures. Before publishing them on your blog, make sure to read the fine print. Not all pictures can be used for selling a product. Make sure you take the time at the start to make sure you don’t get in trouble down the road.
