With schools all over the world closing, parents are scrambling to find child care. They are also trying to figure out how their kids are going to learn while they still have to work.
Our family is in the same situation. My kids have this week off school and then there is spring break. After that, who knows? There are so many things up in the air right now. No one knows what is going to happen.
To try and help parents, I have made a list of free educational resources for parents. These are all free things you can use to help you teach your kids at home.
Free Education Resources
This is my first subject because my kids LOVE to draw, paint and create. We went and got new coloured pencils so that the kids could colour at home.
But, with the internet, we also have access to these wonderful Free Education resources.
Learn To Draw Pinterest board: This board is filled with some great drawing tutorials and ideas that children of all ages will love.
Draw so cute: Videos showing step-by-step guide to drawing all things cute. These include animals, characters and much more.
Doodle Draw Art: The videos show step-by-step drawing tutorials. She shows how to draw cute, cartoon pictures. There are many options including animals, holiday themes, and more! The art in this series will use paper, pencils, markers and crayons – No fancy art supplies!
Research shows that kids learn best when they are moving and discovering. These Free Education resources will help you kids use imagination and creation during the day.
Scratch: Using Scratch you can program your own interactive stories, games, and animations — and share your creations with others in the online community.
Scratch helps young people learn to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively — essential skills for life in the 21st century.
Lego Challange Cards 250 cards for kids to choose from, your child can almost do 5 challenges a week to be creative and inspired in their LEGO designs.

My daughter loves science and has been begging me to do some science experiments at home. With these Free Education resources, we can do just that.
Kids National Geographic: This is one of my daughter’s favourite sites to visit. It has so much great information on animals, science, space and so much more.
Science Mom: Youtube science demonstrations for elementary grades.
Believe it or not, my kids are still at the age where they love to learn. They come home from school and play school, read or do research. They also love math. This list of Free Education resources will help you teach your children math.
Khan Acadamy: Khan Academy offers practice exercises, instructional videos, and a personalized learning dashboard that empower learners to study at their own pace in and outside of the classroom. They have resources for math, science, computer programming, history, art history, economics, and more.

Fun Brain: Created for kids in grades Pre-K through 8. Funbrain offers hundreds of games, books, comics, and videos that develop skills in math, reading, problem-solving and literacy

My children love to read. Since the libraries are closed in our city, we will have to find new reading material online. These Free Education resources may help.
Starfall: games and fun videos to help kids learn how to read. This is good for kids in pre-k to grade 3.
Story online: These are videos of people reading books out loud.
Scholastic: They have set up a new website free for parents to use that helps parents teach their kids from home. This is good for kids in grades Pre-k to grade 6 and up.
Free Grammar Worksheets: This is full of worksheets for your kids to work on grammar principles.
English Worksheet Land: English writing and comprehension worksheets from Kindergarten to grade 10.
Great Schools: free worksheets for students in Kindergarten all the way to high school. This site has resources for English, math, science, arts and social studies.

History for Kids: A free online history network. The website is packed with articles, worksheets and even a quiz on each section.

Berlin Philharmonic: They will drop their fee for now and stream concerts online.

With kids home all day every day for who knows how long, you might be looking for things to do with your kids.
